Masim Mammadov: Process of returning to Sus village of Lachin to begin in early 2024

The process of returning citizens to the village of Sus in Azerbaijan’s Lachin district liberated from occupation will begin in early 2024, the special representative of the President in Lachin district Masim Mammadov said following the meeting of the working group on urban development in Kalbajar, Report informs.

According to him, the process of returning Lachin residents to their homes will be carried out in stages.

"Construction work in the village of Sus continues. The process of resettlement of citizens will start at the beginning of next year," he said.

Mammadov also noted that a plot has already been allocated in Lachin for the construction of a new mosque.

"Design works are at the stage of completion. A local company is engaged in this. I hope that construction will also begin shortly," Mammadov said.
