The chairman of the agency, Mirsalam Gambarov, noted that the largest landfill in the liberated areas will be created in the city of Aghdam: "In total, 7 landfills and 2 transfer stations are to be built. Aghdam landfill will be built on 15 ha, each of Shusha (Khojaly), Lachin, and Kalbajar landfills on 10 ha, and each of Gubadli, Jabrayil, Tartar, and Fuzuli landfills on 5 ha. A transfer station is planned to be built on an area of 10 ha in Zangilan."

Gambarov noted that waste itself is valued as a business example in the world: "Therefore, it is important to recycle waste and prepare it for use as raw material. It is important to approach waste management in liberated areas with the same principle."
