International rail cargo transportation on decline in Azerbaijan

In 2024, 7.72 million tons of international cargo worth $3.33 billion were transported on the territory of Azerbaijan by rail, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
These figures are 7.6% and 1.9% less respectively compared to 2023.
Last year, 4.95 million tons (7% more) of cargo worth $2.49 billion (1.3% more than the previous year) were imported by rail, while 2.78 million tons (14.6% less) of cargo worth $841 million (26.9% less) were exported.
