Charge d'affaires: Silk Road historically connects Azerbaijan and China

The Silk Road historically connects Azerbaijan and China, Ding Tao, China's charge d'affaires in Azerbaijan, said at a press conference on the results of the SCO Heads of State Council Meeting, Report informs.

“Humanitarian cooperation between the two countries demonstrates very good dynamics. Firstly, there are close contacts between people. There are 5 weekly flights to Beijing. The Azerbaijani government provides good conditions for Chinese citizens to enter the country,” the diplomat said.

Tao emphasized that cooperation in education is also expanding.

“Chinese language and culture are becoming increasingly popular in Azerbaijan. Recently, the leadership of Azerbaijan’s National Academy of Sciences visited China,” he added.

According to him, cooperation between the regions of China and Azerbaijan is also of great importance.
