Cargo transportation on Azerbaijani section of TRACECA up 11%

In January-April this year, the volume of cargo transported on the Azerbaijani section of the Transport Corridor Europe Caucasus Asia (TRACECA) amounted to 15.124 million tons, and the cargo turnover was 3.671 billion tkm.

This is 11.02% and 13.85% more than in the same period last year, Report informs, referring to the State Statistics Committee.

Some 8.362 million tons or 55.3% of the cargo were transported by road, 4.949 million tons or 32.7% - by rail, and 1.812 million tons or 12% - by sea. Transit cargo accounted for 25.5% or 3.863 million tons of cargo transported along the corridor.
