Cargo transport via TRACECA’s Azerbaijani section up

In 2021, the volume of goods transported via the Azerbaijani section of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia Transport Corridor (TRACECA) amounted to 39,627,400 tons (+3%), and the cargo turnover was 9,591.5 million tons/km (+3.6%), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
Thus, 21,606,600 tons or 54.5% of cargo was transported by road, 13,462,800 tons or 34% was transported by rail, and 4,558,000 tons or 11.5% was transported by sea.
Transit cargo is responsible for some 22.3% or 8,826,300 tons of cargo transported through the corridor.
