Benefits for Alat economic zone expanding

A bill submitted by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan reflects new provisions related to the regulation of the Alat free economic zone, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Tahir Mirkishili told the next session of the Committee today.

According to Report, nine issues were submitted for discussion during the session. Initially, the bill on amendments to the law "On the Alat Free Economic Zone" was considered in the first reading.

The main essence of the amendments made to the law is related to the settlement of relations between the free zone and the taxpayers of Azerbaijan main economy, increasing the competitiveness of domestic enterprises, simplifying customs clearance and resolving issues related to the establishment of trade relations of the free zone with any country.

At the end of the discussions, the bill on amendments was recommended in the first reading to the plenary session of the Milli Majlis.
