Baku metro is always ready for any possible energy crisis, Bakhtiyar Mammadov, head of the press service of Baku Metro CJSC, Report informs.

He said that the operation of diesel generators as an alternative energy source on the Purple Line of the Baku metro was re-checked on Monday: "They are always kept ready for any crisis."

Mammadov noted that currently there are 21 diesel generators in the Baku metro: "Some of them are installed in the substations of the city's energy sector, and on the Purple Line in the electric substation of the Baku metro, and tests are carried out regularly. Baku metro is always ready for any possible energy crisis."
