Azerbaijani citizens reduce purchase of houses in Türkiye by nearly 35%

In January-September 2023, Azerbaijani citizens bought 642 apartments (-346 apartments, or 35%) in Türkiye, Report informs, citing the Turkish Statistical Institute.
In September alone, the number of apartments bought by Azerbaijani citizens in Türkiye was 98, which is 17 apartments, or 14.8%, less than in September 2022.
During 9 months, 28,282 apartments (-43.6%) were sold to foreign citizens in Türkiye, and 2,958 apartments (-72.5%) last month alone.
Most of the people who bought apartments in Türkiye were Russian citizens with 8,683 apartments this year, and 722 in September.
The next place is occupied by Iranian citizens with 327 apartments in September and 3,598 in January-September.
Citizens of Iraq purchased 191 apartments in Türkiye in September and 1,599 apartments in 9 months.
