Azerbaijan to receive 50 locomotives from French Alstom

Baku. 12 October. REPORT.AZ/ "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC (AR) will purchase a total of 50 locomotives from French Alstom company.

Report informs, AR Deputy Chairman, Igbal Huseynov said at Argus International Petroleum Summit starting today in Baku.

"I suppose that locomotives will be delivered to Azerbaijan next year", he said.

Notably, Azerbaijan will receive 10 passenger, 40 freight locomotives from France. The first passenger locomotive has already been sent from France to Azerbaijan. It is expected to enter the country in December.
