Azerbaijan Railways CJSC is building the country's largest railway bridge over the Hakari River, Report informs.
The length of the bridge will be 418 meters, and the width will be 6.5 meters.
This bridge is part of the construction of the Horadiz-Aghband railway line. The foundation of the road was laid on February 14 last year by President Ilham Aliyev, and the project is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
The railway line is single-track and has an axial length of 110.4 kilometers. Nine stations (Horadiz, Marjanli, Mahmudlu, Soltanli, Gumlaq, Hakari, Minjivan, Bartaz, Aghband) will operate along the line. Within the framework of the project, 456 artificial engineering installations, 70 railroad switches, and 110.4 kilometers long communication and signaling lines will be put into operation.
