Azerbaijan, Georgia create joint railway venture

Azerbaijan Railways CJSC has created a joint venture BTKI Railways with the Georgian Railways JSC , the chairman of the joint-stock company Rovshan Rustamov wrote on X, Report informs.

He noted that the new enterprise will be engaged in the operation and management of the infrastructure of the Marabda-Kartsakhi section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway line, as well as cargo transportation along the BTK.

"The joint efforts of Azerbaijan and Georgia within the company will be aimed at strengthening regional transport links, in particular, the potential of the Middle Corridor," the chairman added.
