Azerbaijan and Türkiye strengthen cooperation in water resources management

Azerbaijan and Türkiye will expand cooperation in water resources management, the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency said in a statement, Report informs.

Agency officials Afsana Asgarova, Elmar Orujov, Ruslan Salmanov, Ilgar Hasanov and Elnur Nasirov held meetings with Mehmet Akif Balta, head of the Turkish General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, and specialists from relevant departments of the organization during their visit to Türkiye aimed at improving state control over water resources use and protection.

During the meetings, a mutual exchange of experience in the field of water resources management and protection was conducted, presentations were made, and questions of mutual interest were answered.

The parties emphasized the importance of intensifying the exchange of experience in field water resources management between the two countries.
