Azerbaijan and Georgia mull cooperation in transport

Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) CJSC Rovshan Rustamov discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics with the newly appointed General Director of Georgian Railways JSC, Lasha Abashidze, during his visit to Georgia, Report informs, citing ADY.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on ensuring the effective operation of international corridors passing through the territories of Azerbaijan and Georgia, and improving East-West-East transportation. The parties emphasized the need to increase efforts to transport more cargo through the Middle Corridor and the importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line in this regard.
