The Azeraeronavigatsiya Air Traffic Department (AZANS) aims to provide an instrument that will allow coordinating air traffic in the Central Asian and European regions within the framework of cooperation with the US companies Metron Aviation and Aireon, CEO of Aireon Don Thoma told journalists, Report informs.
He said that the company he represents has been cooperating with AZANS since 2022: “Currently, cooperation is carried out in three directions. The first direction provides search and rescue services to AZANS in the airspace of Azerbaijan, the Caspian Sea and vast mountainous areas.
The second direction is to move to a highly developed data analytics platform in communications and analyze the airspace of AZANS, the activity of aircraft, and determine the security areas that they should pay attention to. Thus, AZANS will continue to provide the most efficient and safe airspace.
The third direction is more regional in nature.”
