ASCO sells nearly 700 e-tickets for passenger transport in Q1

In the first quarter of this year, the passenger flow on ferries operated by the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) totaled 5,882 people.

According to Report, citing ASCO, 670 tickets during the reporting period were purchased via the electronic booking system.

The highest number of e-ticket purchases was recorded on the Alat–Kuryk route, with 517 tickets sold. This was followed by 87 tickets for the Kuryk–Alat route, 57 for Alat–Turkmenbashi, and 9 for Turkmenbashi–Alat.
ASCO’s electronic ticketing system has been in operation since 2016.

Due to quarantine regulations, Azerbaijani citizens wishing to leave the country by ferry must obtain special permission from the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers. Foreign citizens do not require this permit to leave Azerbaijan, but both Azerbaijani and foreign nationals must have proper authorization to enter the country.
