Ambassador: Potential of Azerbaijan and Belarus crucial amid formation of new Eurasian logistics framework

Azerbaijan and Belarus possess significant potential for aligning the international transport corridors North–South and East–West, which is especially relevant in the context of the emerging new logistics framework across Eurasia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan, Dmitry Pinevich, said at an international roundtable held in Baku, dedicated to Azerbaijan’s role in Eurasian transport integration, according to Report.

"Belarus and Azerbaijan, situated in uniquely advantageous geographic and economic positions as transit countries, have considerable potential for cooperation in linking the North–South and East–West international transport corridors. For Belarus, the combination of diagonal routes within these corridors is of particular relevance," the ambassador said.

According to him, special attention should be given to the economic dimensions.

"Azerbaijan's unique experience is particularly important here, including its mental flexibility and principles of multiculturalism. This creates more favorable conditions for resolving emerging issues in the interests of all parties involved in shaping Eurasia's logistics framework. I am confident that our roundtable will become one of the most effective instruments of expert diplomacy," Pinevich added.
