Air passenger traffic in Azerbaijan up by more than 7%

In January-May 2025, 1,495,500 passengers were transported by air in Azerbaijan, 101,900 passengers or 7.3% more than in the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

In five months, 99.9% of air transportation was carried out by state-owned vehicles, and 0.1% by private enterprises.

During the specified period, cargo transportation by air decreased by 0.4% or 700 tons and amounted to 161,300 tons. In 2025, the volume of cargo transported by economic entities operating in the transport sector was 96.8 million tons, with air transport accounting for 0.2% of it.
