Trains on Baku-Balakan route undergo renovation

The trains on the Baku-Balakan-Baku route, which Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) is preparing to resume, have undergone renovation, Azer Farajov, Head of the Passenger Transportation Department at ADY, told journalists, Report informs.
He added that the mentioned trains will be of the sleeping type.
Farajov also stated that the resumption of this route is expected to slightly increase the number of railway passengers.
Meanwhile, ADY transported 2.8 million passengers in 2021, 5.2 million in 2022, 7.1 million in 2023, and over 8 million in 2024.
