During the first ten months of 2022, ADY Express LLC, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways OJSC, transported more than 1 million tons of Kazakhstan's goods in both directions, Report informs, citing ADY Express.
In 2021, the amount of cargo transported by ADY Express on this route was a little more than 125,000 tons, and currently, cargo transportation related to Kazakhstan has increased eight times. By the end of the year, this indicator is predicted to grow 9-10 times.
During 10 months of this year, "ADY Express" transported about 950,000 tons of cargo from Kazakhstan, 96% of which was transit cargo.
During the same period, ADY Express transported nearly 100,000 tons of cargo to Kazakhstan.
Goods from Kazakhstan are transported by two routes - through the Caspian Sea and by land using the Samur-Yalama crossing.
