ADY Express LLC, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways JSC, transported about 220,000 tons of cargo to Uzbekistan in 10 months of 2022, while this figure was 95,000 tons in 2021, Report informs, citing the LLC.
Some 98% of transported goods were transit goods. About 200,000 tons of transported goods are exported goods of Uzbekistan, and the rest are imported goods. Transportation in both directions was carried out over the Caspian Sea.
Meanwhile, the expansion of cooperation with Uzbekistan is one of the priority issues. During the year, the employees of ADY Express participated in a number of important events held in Uzbekistan and managed to establish relations with business contacts in this country. As a result, it was achieved to increase the volume of cargo transportation with Uzbekistan.
The LLC continued its activities in the direction of developing business relations during 2022. The complex measures implemented to expand the geography of transportation were especially directed to boost cooperation with the countries of Central Asia.
