ADY: Container block train transportation along Middle Corridor up over 30 times

The number of container block trains transported along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route increased by more than 30 times in 2024, the chief operating administrator of the subsidiary company ADY Express, Rashad Majidov, said at a panel discussion within the framework of the Baku Energy Forum, Report informs.
According to Majidov, ADY, Baku International Sea Trade Port, Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) and other partners faced the challenge of managing unexpectedly increased cargo.
"Last year, 390 block trains traveled along the Middle Corridor route. For comparison, in 2023 this figure was only 10-12 block trains, which means an increase of more than 30 times," he said.
