Beverage production almost doubles in Azerbaijan

In the first half of 2023, Azerbaijan produced 26.128 million decaliters of beverages, which is 92.2% more than in the same period last year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistics Committee.

During the reporting period, the production of alcoholic beverages in Azerbaijan amounted to 3.838 million decaliters (26.5% more year-on-year), including 633,800 decaliters (10.6% more) of vodka, 119,200 decaliters (8.6 times more) of whiskey-cognac, 586,800 deciliters (69.5% more) of grape wines and 2.498 million deciliters (18.9% more) of beer.

For 6 months, 21.096 million decalitres (19.6% more) of soft drinks, and 11.193 million unsweetened drinks (38.2% more) were produced in the country.

As of July 1, 2023, the stocks of alcoholic beverages in the country amounted to 1.428 million decaliters, and the stocks of soft drinks was 1 million 018.7 thousand decaliters.
