Azerbaijan produced over 2,000 passenger cars in 2022

In 2022, Azerbaijan produced machinery and equipment, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers, and other vehicles worth 522.7 million manats (roughly $307.47 million), Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

The State Statistical Committee told Report that machinery and equipment production surged 58.8%, other transport facilities went up 3.9-fold, and cars, trailers, and semi-trailers – by 68%.

In the reporting period, 2,049 private vehicles were produced in Azerbaijan, 30 cars or 1.4% less than the same period last year. As of January 1, 2023, the country has stocked 270 finished products.

During the first three quarters of this year, Azerbaijan produced 588 tractors, 9.7 less than in 2021. As a result, the country had 18 finished products as of January 1, 2023.
