Anglo Asian Mining finds new gold vein in Azerbaijan

Anglo Asian Mining PLC said Wednesday that it has discovered the new sub-vertical Hasan gold vein to the south of the main Gosha mine in Azerbaijan and that an evaluation of the existing Vejnaly mine and plant is progressing, Report informs, citing the Company.

The Azerbaijan-focused gold, copper and silver producer said ore production from the new Hasan gold vein and the Vejnaly mine is expected in the second half of 2022.

Gold intersections of up to 229.5 grams of gold a ton were returned at the Hasan vein, it said.

"We continue to produce from our existing mines at Gedabek, and we look forward to providing an update on full-year production guidance once the assessments at Hasan and Vejnaly have been completed," Chief Executive Reza Vaziri said.
