Azerbaijan's MMA fighter Tofig Musayev may join UFC lineup in Baku

Azerbaijani MMA star Tofig Musayev may step into the octagon at the highly anticipated UFC Fight Night scheduled to take place in Baku on July 21.

In an exclusive statement to Report, President of the Azerbaijan MMA and Grappling Federation, Azad Asgarov, confirmed that discussions are currently ongoing regarding Musayev's participation.

"We are still in talks, but there's a strong chance that alongside Rafael Fiziyev and Nazim Sadikhov, Tofig Musayev will also fight at the event. We expect to have a final answer in 2–3 days," Asgarov said.

He expressed confidence in the homegrown fighters: "Since the tournament is being held in Azerbaijan, their motivation will be sky-high. Both Fiziyev and Sadikhov are in excellent shape and are fully focused. Competing on home soil gives them an extra push to secure victories."

UFC Fight Night will be held at the Baku Crystal Hall on July 21.
