Lamiya Valiyeva: 'I'm very happy I repeated result of Tokyo'

"I'm very happy that in Paris I repeated the result I showed in Tokyo," Azerbaijani athlete Lamiya Valiyeva, who won gold and silver medals in athletics at the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games, told journalists, Report informs.

The athlete achieved similar success at the Tokyo 2020 Games.

"It is difficult to express my feelings in words. I would like to express my gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the National Paralympic Committee. Thank you all for your support, your faith in us gave us additional incentive," she added.
