Gashim Magomedov: 'I wanted to win gold medal, but silver is also good result'

"I wanted to win a gold medal, but silver is also a good result," Azerbaijani taekwondo athlete Gashim Magomedov, who won a silver medal at the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris, told journalists upon returning to his homeland at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Report informs.
"Sport is my life, and I am constantly working to achieve high results. On the other hand, we have not had an Olympic medal in taekwondo for a long time. Fortunately, I managed to do it. I am proud to have raised the flag of Azerbaijan at the Olympic Games," he noted.
The athlete added that the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation is doing everything possible to develop this sport in the country.
