Film about first Azerbaijani woman to conquer Everest premiered in Baku

The premiere of the film “In Pursuit of a Dream” (“Arzunun ardınca”), dedicated to Elmira Aslanova, the first Azerbaijani woman to conquer Mount Everest, has taken place.

According to Report, citing the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the event was held at the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center.

The ceremony was attended by Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Madat Guliyev, President of the Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation Mukhtar Babayev, Chair of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Bahar Muradova, MPs, representatives of the sports community, sports veterans, and others.

Speakers at the event emphasized that the film serves as an inspiration for the younger generation, especially young female athletes.

At the conclusion, participants congratulated the film’s director and screenwriter Arzu Urshan and the protagonist Elmira Aslanova on the successful adaptation.
