Baku hosts tournament in memory of boxing founder in Azerbaijan

Baku. 21 December. REPORT.AZ/ Baku today hosts the traditional international tournament among young people in memory of Abbas Aghalarov, founder of boxing in Azerbaijan.

Report informs citing the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation (ABF), the competition will last for 4 days.

Along with Azerbaijan, athletes from Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, India, Iran, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Uzbekistan will compete in the tournament at the ABF gym.

Azerbaijan will be represented by 3 teams in 10 weight categories, 114 boxers will take part in the competition.

Notably, matches will begin at 16:00 today. Final matches will take place on December 24.
