Azerbaijani cyclist enters world ranking table for first time

Ayan Khankishiyeva, a member of the Azerbaijan national team of under-23 women on track cycling, took part in the international competition held in Italy.
Report has learned from the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation that Ayan succeeded in the competition that brings together the world's strongest track cyclists.
Khankishiyeva became the first local female athlete to be included in the track cycling ranking of the International Union of Cyclists (UCI). The 21-year-old cyclist scored 35 points in the race and landed in the 297th place in the UCI world ranking. Azerbaijan ranked 45th in the world with 35 points.
