Azerbaijan wins 5th medal at Islamic Solidarity Games

Azerbaijan won its 5th medal at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya, Turkiye, Report informs.
Azerbaijani taekwondo player Patimat Abakarova, 49 kg, won the bronze medal, after losing a match in the semi-finals.
Today, Azerbaijan’s Farida Azizova (67 kg) and Javad Aghayev (68 kg) will fight for a spot in the finals.
Earlier, Azerbaijan’s Hanna Skydan (athletics, hammer throwing) won a gold medal, Alexis Copello (athletics, triple jump) and Alyona Kolesnik (wrestling, 59 kg) won a silver medal each, and Hashim Mahammadov (taekwondo, 58 kg) won a bronze medal.
