Sentence read out to person who forced minors to work

A verdict was read out to a person, who forced a foreign citizen and her minor children to work, Report informs, citing the press service of the Interior Ministry.

As a result of operational measures carried out by employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Trafficking in Human under the Interior Ministry, a resident of Kalbajar District, Mahammad Babakishiyev, a suspect in being involved in forced labor in a livestock farm in Bayimli village of Zardab District, a woman, and her two minor children, was detained.

In this regard, the investigation of the criminal case initiated under Articles 144-2.2.1 and 144-2.2.2 (forced labor) of the Criminal Code has been completed and forwarded to the Shaki Grave Crimes Court for consideration.

By the verdict of the court, M. Babakishiyev was found guilty and sentenced to 7 years in prison.
