Ruben Vardanyan faces trial for terrorism and war crimes in Azerbaijan

The criminal case against Rubén Vardanyan has been sent to court, according to a joint statement by the Prosecutor General's Office and the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan.
Report informs that the SSS Investigation Department conducted an investigation into the criminal case involving acts of terrorism, financing of terrorism, crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, and numerous other offenses against the Republic of Azerbaijan and its people.
Vardanyan, who was detained on September 27, 2023, at the Lachin border checkpoint, has been charged under Articles 100, 107, 109, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 214, 214-1, 218, 228, 270-1, 278, 279, and 318 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
