The second high-level meeting of the Regional Network of European Road Police Organizations (ROADPOL) was held in Baku on December 10-11, focusing on police activities in road safety enforcement.

Report informs, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs, that the event was organized by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Internal Affairs with support from the World Health Organization.

The meeting was attended by 43 representatives from 24 countries, along with experts and representatives from non-governmental organizations.

The main focus of the event was developing joint actions to improve road safety, strengthening regional cooperation between police agencies, and exchanging experiences.

During sessions and panel discussions, participants addressed measures to reduce traffic accidents, the use of innovative technologies, and public engagement in solving road safety issues.

Participants shared knowledge and experience in applying information technologies for effective road safety management.

ROADPOL's goal is to reduce the number of deaths and serious injuries on European roads.
