Eight out of 29 victims in the Aktau plane crash are on ventilators, according to the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, Report informs via Kazakh media.
"As of early morning December 26, 11 patients were in intensive care, 13 in trauma department, 2 in neurosurgery department, and 1 in surgery department. Regarding patients' conditions: two are in extremely critical condition, 11 in serious condition, 14 in moderate condition, and 2 patients have no complaints and are in satisfactory condition," the statement said.
The Ministry of Health noted that "eight out of 11 patients are on ventilators plus medical sedation and tonics."
The report reminds that a total of 27 crash victims were hospitalized in the regional hospital, and two more in the regional children's hospital. Upon admission, all victims underwent necessary examinations and after stabilization were hospitalized according to their conditions.
Patients arrived with various injuries, mainly multiple traumas, including closed head injuries, concussions, closed chest injuries, and traumatic shock, according to the statement.
"Medical care is being provided to the victims in full. Doctors are taking all possible measures to stabilize the condition of serious patients, and the hospital is adequately supplied with medicines and equipment," the Ministry of Health noted.
