Germany to deport 156 Azerbaijani citizens

In the first half of 2022, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) of Germany made 422 decisions regarding asylum procedures for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing BAMF.
The Federal Office stated that 39 reviewed cases were given protection status, while the decision was negative regarding 156 asylum seekers. The local administrative courts issued a deportation decision on those persons.
According to the "Dublin procedure", the number of decisions regarding a voluntary return or sending to the European country where the first visa was obtained was 227.
BAMF reported that in the first six months of 2022, the total number of applications was 97,249.
