Davit Ishkhanyan: 'The strategic goal was to annex Karabakh to Armenia'

At the trial in the Baku Military Court on April 3, the accused Davit Ishkhanyan answered the state prosecutor's question about the purpose of Armenia's military aggression against Azerbaijan.

As Report informs, Ishkhanyan, who called himself an active member of the Dashnaktsutyun party, stated that the strategic goal was to annex Karabakh to Armenia.

"I cannot talk about that period because I was very young then. But when I grew up, I already understood what the strategic goals and strategic principles were. The strategic goal was to annex Karabakh to Armenia," Ishkhanyan stated.

The next hearing in the case of representatives of the former Armenian separatist regime in Karabakh, accused of war crimes against Azerbaijan, will continue on April 4.

There are 15 people accused in the case: Arkady Ghukasyan, Arayik Harutyunyan, Bako Sahakyan, Davit Ishkhanyan, David Babayan, Leva Mnatsakanyan, David Manukyan, Garik Martirosyan, Melikset Pashayan, Davit Allahverdyan, Gurgen Stepanyan, Levon Balayan, Madat Babayan, Vasily Beglaryan, and Erik Gazaryan.
