Azerbaijani journalist threatened with knife, interior ministry says investigation ongoing

Journalist Aytan Mammadova has been subjected to a knife attack in a Baku district.
Mammadova was attacked at the entrance of the building where she lives. A man who entered the elevator after her held a knife to her throat and demanded that some unnamed trial not be covered.
The attacker wounded Mammadova and fled the scene.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in response to Report's request that they had already been informed about the incident and launched an investigation into the case.
