Azerbaijan seizes over $7M in assets from corrupt officials

In the first half of this year, property worth a total of 12 million manats (over $7 million) was seized in Azerbaijan as part of investigations into corruption-related crimes, according to an operational meeting held at the Anti-Corruption Directorate under the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan.
Report informs that in completed criminal cases during this period, the total material damage caused to third-party property exceeded 23 million manats (over $13 million). Of this amount, over 5.6 million manats (nearly $3.4 million) have already been recovered.
To ensure full compensation for damages in these concluded cases, property worth 12,002,365 manats ($7.06 millon) has been seized.
