Structural changes expected in Azerbaijani banks

A number of changes are expected in the work of banks operating in Azerbaijan after the introduction of the “Procedure for managing information security in banks”, Ilgar Aliyev, head of the information security group of the Azerbaijan Banks Association, told Report.

He noted that in connection with the new rules, the relevant processes are being prepared in banks:

“According to the rules, structural changes are being made to digital processes. Distribution of powers, obtaining control tools, risk management and the introduction of monitoring systems are expected. Business processes adapt to this. Banks apply cybersecurity tools to comply with the requirements of the Central Bank,” he added.

The “Procedure for managing information security in banks” came into force on April 1.
