The Online Azerbaijan project is fully consistent with the strategic goals of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), ITU Regional Director Natalia Mochu said at the project’s reporting event, according to Report.
“This project is aimed not only at developing technologies, but also at improving the quality of life of people in Azerbaijan, promoting their socio-economic well-being and further development of the country. Its key goal is to ensure universal digital accessibility, create conditions for connecting to high-quality, reliable and affordable information and communication technologies (ICT). The International Telecommunication Union makes every effort to ensure that the Internet is universal, accessible and meets high-quality standards,” she noted.
According to her, another priority is sustainable digital transformation, ensuring fair and inclusive use of telecommunications and ICT.
“As demonstrated in the presented video, this allows us to unlock the potential of people and society, creating a basis for sustainable development,” Mochu added.
