The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is working on developing the startup ecosystem in the Central Eurasian region, supporting young innovators and technological entrepreneurship, ITU Regional Director Natalia Mochu said during the Online Azerbaijan project reporting event.

"In Azerbaijan, we are collaborating with the Innovation and Digital Development Agency. ITU manages the global Innovation Alliance, which brings together cutting-edge ideas and initiatives. As part of this work, we help young innovators, especially university students, turn their ideas into startups, develop them in the early stages, and present them to investors. We regularly conduct mentoring programs and pitching sessions that Azerbaijani startups can join," said Mochu, according to Report.

She also emphasized that Azerbaijan's Innovation Agency recently joined ITU's Innovation Alliance, becoming one of 13 innovation centers worldwide.

"This cooperation opens access to ITU's resources and expertise, including training, startup support, and events aimed at developing digital entrepreneurship," noted the ITU Regional Director.
