Information war against Azerbaijan peaked during Patriotic War - Shahin Aliyev

The information war against Azerbaijan and its citizens reached its peak during the Patriotic War, Shahin Aliyev, head of the Electronic Security Service under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, said, as quoted by Report.

"As a result of measures we take jointly with other state institutions and people in the society who were active in this issue, such attacks were successfully thwarted," Aliyev said.

The service chief noted that to prevent misinformation on social networks, measures are taken to provide the pages of state establishments and institutions of state importance with identification marks.

He said identification marks had been issued to more than 150 such pages recently.
