More than 650 companies in Azerbaijan will undergo the Industry 4.0 program, Fariz Jafarov, Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) under the Ministry of Economy, stated during a press conference on the results of 2024, Report informs.
Jafarov announced that a digital transformation roadmap will be developed for these companies within the framework of this initiative: "Thus, 650 companies will undergo digital transformation, that is, the Industry 4.0 process."
He emphasized that the Industry 4.0 platform will have a positive impact on organizations: "This approach will reduce warehouse costs by 20-40% and increase labor productivity by 15-30%."
The CEO noted that a registry is currently being created to collect data on companies undergoing the fourth industrial process. He also recalled that by the order of the President of Azerbaijan dated January 6, 2021, the "Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution" was established as a public legal entity under the Ministry of Economy.
The center's goal is to strengthen Azerbaijan’s position in the global economy and bring the country among the leading nations in this field. “C4IR also coordinates cooperation with international organizations operating in the field of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and carries out analysis and coordination of challenges, initiatives, strategies, and projects on the digital economy,” Jafarov added.
He also mentioned that last year the center began cooperation with more than 30 international partners and more than 100 local organizations.
