Azerbaijan sees 1.4-fold surge in average annual broadband internet speed

The average annual broadband internet speed in Azerbaijan has increased 1.4 times over the past 2 years, Hasan Omarov, Acting Director General of Aztelekom LLC, told journalists, Report informs.

Omarov made the remark during the event on the Online Azerbaijan project.

According to data from January 2024, this indicator has exceeded 66 Mbps, he stated.

"The work done within the framework of the Online Azerbaijan project has also been praised internationally. At the world's prestigious mobile technology exhibition Mobile World Congress (MWC), Aztelekom LLC was awarded the Fastest Fixed Network award. This award was presented by Ookla®, the global leader in internet speed testing and analysis," the acting director general noted.
