Azerbaijan’s smartphone imports from South Korea skyrocket

In January 2025, Azerbaijan imported 107,675 smartphones worth $26 million, marking a year-on-year decrease of 9% in number and 27% in value, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

In the specified period, Azerbaijan purchased smartphones from:

- China: 92,935 units (+9%) worth $20.68 million (-20%);

- Vietnam: 13,718 units (-45%) worth $5 million (-32%);

- India: 792 units (-89%) worth $272,700 (-82%);

- South Korea: 230 units (+230 times) worth $27,600 (+19 times).

In 2024, Azerbaijan imported a total of 1.51 million smartphones, of which 79.5% came from China.
