Azerbaijan’s information and communication sector sees 8% salary boost

The average salary in Azerbaijan's information and communication sector has risen by nearly 8%.
In January of this year, the average nominal monthly salary in the sector stood at 1,854 manat (over $1,090)
Report informs that, according to the State Statistics Committee, the average salary in the public sector was 1,535 manat (around $902), while in the private sector it reached 2,094 manat ($1231).
Compared to the same period last year, the sector’s average monthly salary grew by 7.8%, with a 14% increase in the public sector and a 4.2% rise in the private sector.
As of February 1, the sector employed 33,700 people, marking a 4.7% increase from the previous year.
