Azerbaijan one of leading countries in mobile services according to GSMA

The International GSM Association (GSMA) has published the Mobile Connectivity Index for 2024, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

Mobile Connectivity Index covers the indicators of connection to mobile services in 173 countries.

It is prepared in order to observe the main trends in the sphere of mobile services since 2015 and analyze developments. In general, the final index is calculated using 32 indicators in 4 areas: infrastructure of mobile services, affordability, consumer readiness, content and services.

According to the Mobile Connectivity Index, Azerbaijan increased its index indicator by approximately 3.07 last year and scored 73.8 index points.

The increase in the index also affected the country's position. Thus, it moved up 8 places compared to 2023 and ranked 65th among advanced countries.

Denmark leads the Mobile Connectivity Index with a score of 93.41.
