In March 2025, Azerbaijan ranked 91st among 154 countries in average fixed broadband internet speed, down one notch compared to February. The average download speed was 73.60 Mbps, Report informs, referring to Speedtest Global Index.

This is an increase of 92 percent compared to the corresponding period last year (38.32 Mbps).

The first place in terms of fixed broadband Internet speed in March 2025 was taken by Singapore (357.52 Mbit/s), and the last place was taken by Syria (3.21 Mbit/s).

In March, Azerbaijan ranked 52nd among 102 countries in terms of mobile internet speed (74.11 Mbit/s), up three notches compared to February.

In terms of mobile Internet speed, the UAE took first place (543.29 Mbit/s) in March 2025, and Bolivia took the last place (13.09 Mbit/s).

During the specified month, Baku maintained its position ahead among 197 cities in terms of fixed broadband Internet speed compared to the previous month and took 114th place (73.32 Mbit/s).

Abu Dhabi tops the ranking of cities with fixed broadband Internet access (335.02 Mbit/s), and Aleppo (2.14 Mbit/s) ranked the last.

In March, Baku ranked 80th among 151 cities in terms of mobile Internet speed (90.80 Mbit/s), up two notches compared to February.

The first place in terms of mobile Internet speed was taken by Ar-Rayyan (618.53 Mbit/s), and the last place was taken by La Paz, Bolivia (9.58 Mbit/s).
